A true veteran of the industry, Barbara comes to us with twenty-five years of experience with over twenty of those in underwriting. For many, mortgage lending is just how you pay the bills, but for Barbara Winters mortgage lending means helping people achieve the dream of homeownership which can so often be the first steps to lifelong wealth and security. Over the course of her career as an underwriter she has paved the way to homeownership by approving tens of thousands of mortgages.

A teacher by nature, Barbara successfully led her own mortgage processing company called Lending a Helping Hand, a name indicative of her mission. But with hard work comes hard play and for Barbara that means travel, trail-walking, and soaking in the beauty of the natural world. She’s also an avid dog lover and considers them a member of the family.
